Asus P45VJ-VO002X Review

Asus LaptopAsus designed the P45VJ as a decent multimedia system with moderate temperature characteristics and low noise level. The decent battery life is also worth mentioning, considering that the Asus P45VJ is meant for business uses. Asus demands about 800 Euro, which is a bit too high, as it comes with mediocre display.

The Asus P45VJ shares design characteristics with its successor, the P43SJ. The surface is insensitive to fingerprints and feels smooth without frills. Its build quality is reasonably solid, which resist pressures well.

The machine offers standard connectivity options including 2 USB 3.0 port, 1 USB 2.0 port, RJ45 LAN port, VGA out port, HDMI out port, mic, headphones, Kensington lock slot, card reader and DVD drive. Other than WiFi, Asus P45VJ also offers Bluetooth 4.0. The laptop comes preinstalled with 64-bit version of Windows 7 Professional.

Asus recovery system allows users to revert to factory setting when Windows refuses to boot, but this will remove all user data. The keyboard looks acceptable with easily recognizable feedback and normal travel distance. The Asus P45VJ comes with 14” (1366 x 768) display which offers average viewing angles and brightness level. The Intel Core i5 3210M CPU and Nvidia GeForce GT 635M graphics card should deliver moderate performance for business and gaming uses.
