The Taiwan-based laptop manufacturer, Asus, has added models with fourth generation processors into its lineup. However, it’s local competitor, Acer, seems to be more timid in its Haswell-based strategy, by rehashing older laptop models with the new processor. The Aspire S7 and Aspire M5 are Acer’s primary lineups and still in their prime; so it is sensible that Acer isn’t so keen about making a big effort of designing a completely new Haswell-powered laptop model.

Aspire S7-392-6832 is now available in Amazon for $1320 (Approx. £850) and it’s powered by a 1.8GHz Core i5 processor. Users also get 13.3” FHD display, 8GB of RAM for improved multitasking performance and 128GB SSD. The 4-cell battery and Haswell’s enhanced power-saving feature allow users to get seven hours of operational time between charges. Overall, the Acer Aspire S7-392-6832 is an ideal ultrabook with decent battery life and slim design.
