Recently, Acer unveiled two new ultrabook models in New York, the V5 and V7. The balanced combination of performance, style and options is exactly what laptop makers need to implement to compete in today’s industry. So, both models come with different display size, 15.6” full HD, 14” HD and 11.6”. The latter seems to be designed as an alternative to the MacBook Air, coming in at less than 1-inch thick and weighs at 3 lbs.
There will be multitude of colors and varying processing and graphics performance. Some models will have touchscreen display and others are not. Users can choose between variants with Intel or AMD chips, as well as AMD Radeon HD 8750 discrete graphics and Nvidia GeForce GT7XXM series. Optionally, users can purchase the Acer Converter Port, which can be connected easily to a HDD or external, larger display.
A senior official from Acer says that they company is seeking to give consumers a wide array of entertainment features and performance levels from which to choose from. These new V Series models are also about nine percent thinner that the earlier generation.
