Acer has recently introduced the Aspire M5-583P-6428, which includes an improved audio system, WiDi (Wireless Display) technology and more importantly, Intel Core i5 “Haswell” processor. The Intel WiDi technology allows users to connect wirelessly with various external displays, including big-screen TV sets.
Compared to the earlier Ivy Bridge offering, the 22nm Intel Haswell architecture offers improved energy efficiency, processing power and graphics capability. The Haswell is also ideal for ulttrabooks, hybrids and convertibles. The new Aspire M5-583P-6428 is less than an inch thick, which makes it very easy to carry; it includes a high definition, 15” touchscreen display and a backlit keyboard.
The PowerSmart battery can last four years before being replaced and offers about 6.5 hours of battery with a single charge. It also brings Microsoft Windows 8, 500GB HDD and 8GB of RAM. The laptop is now available in the US for about $699.99 (Approx. £451).
