Acer Aspire TimelineU M3-581PTG Review

The Acer Aspire TimelineU M3-581PTG is a multi-faceted laptop with some strengths and weaknesses. Thanks to the strong Nvidia GeForce GT 730M GPU; the machine can run even newest games at acceptable detail settings. Also the fast 256GB SSD and Intel Core i5 3337U processor do their part in providing impressive performance level. However, as a consequence, users can’t really avoid the high temperature and loud noise emission.

One real weakness is the glossy display, which results in poor outdoor usages. The touch-based support is nice, although it won’t make significant improvement in productivity. It might have been better for users to get an IPS panel, with better viewing angles. The 54Wh Lithium-Polymer battery offers more than 6 hours of battery life when browsing with WiFi. Early batch of the laptop seems to be affected by workmanship errors, such as poorly installed touchpad. Surely we expect something better from a 1,000 Euro laptop.
