Like other work notebooks, the Lenovo B580 also makes a convincing impression. The laptop remains quiet all the times and provides smooth application performance. Additionally, the B580 also offers acceptable battery runtimes and is equipped with decent keyboard.

Compared to other laptops in the same category, the display has a rather high contrast level. The available mSATA socket allows users to add a SSD, without removing the HDD. However, the case quality and display brightness level could be disappointing for some.

The laptop is powered by Intel Core 3210M processor, clocked at between 2.5GHz and 2.9GHz. The 1TB Seagate Momentus SpinPoint M8 5400rpm HDD has a decent transfer rate at 76.8MBps. The built-in Intel HD Graphics 4000 GPU is useful only for gaming at low-medium detail settings. The Lenovo B580 is remarkably quiet across the whole performance spectrum. The laptop also doesn’t get warm excessively at maximum processing load.
