Acer Introduces Aspire V17 Nitro Laptop

Acer isn’t known for its powerful, mobile gaming system. However, it has recently introduced a new gaming notebook in the CES. The Acer Aspire V17 Nitro comes with 17.3-inch IPS 1080p display and all other components that we would expect on a powerful gaming rig.

The processor and GPU combo is consisted of Intel Core 17 4710HQ and Nvidia GeForce GTX 860M with 4GB GDDR5 video RAM. Attached on the motherboard are 16GB of RAM modules and 1TB hard disk drive. The secondary, high-speed storage is either 128GB or 256GB SSD. Unfortunately, the company is still holding back on the laptop’s full specification list. It means that we are still not sure what brand of storage drive or RAM modules.

For wireless connectivity, the Aspire V17 Nitro is equipped with dual antennae 802.11ac WiFi. Users can choose variants with standard DVD drive or a Blu-ray drive. All models are equipped with four-speaker configuration with 8W output and it’s based on the Dolby Digital Plus Home Theater technology. The Acer Dust Defender feature may blast dust out from the inner part of the laptop with a well-positioned high-performance fan. However, there’s still no information on availability or pricing.
