Toshiba has been seeking to broaden its market footprint by releasing multiple new models. One of them is a “small business” laptop, the Tecra C50. It is a machine that can be very well equipped for affordable operations. It has 15.6-inch display, Intel Core i5 CPU, 500GB hard drive, 4GB of DDR3 RAM, TPM 1.2 and integrated DVD burner. It will be available for $700. A cheaper version will set us back $580, however it has a slower Core i3 processor and lacks TPM support.

Toshiba guarantees that it s the whole unit if the laptop proves to be defective in the first 6 month. The company has done a number for durability testing to make sure that it will work well for both enterprise and personal levels. The Tecra C50 will arrive with Windows 7 Pro operating system. Should buyers want to make the switch, a Windows 8.1 Pro license is available for additional price.

On the sides, there are VGA ports and HDMI that support both legacy and newer monitors. Unfortunately, there is no DisplayPort support and the TN panel may deliver rather unsatisfactory viewing angle. The 1366 x768 screen resolution is also the lowest in the 15.6-inch category.
