On the sides, users can find three USB 3.0 ports, one USB 2.0 port, HDMI out, VGA out, audio jacks, Gigabit LAN port, RJ-45 port, card reader and Kensington lock. The chiclet-style keyboard doesn’t feature backlight and it looks well made.
Fairly-sized at 15mm, the keys are decent and the whole assembly doesn’t flex during serious typing sessions. The 1080p matte screen delivers high color fidelity and it is less susceptible to reflections when used outdoors.
The most interesting hardware component should be the Intel Core i7 4700MQ “Haswell” quad-core processor, which combines high performance level and reasonable energy requirements. The laptop can be used as a decent mobile gaming platform, allowing newest game titles to run with highest detail settings at 25-35 fps.
