The Asus F75VC-TY088H is a budget laptop with a rather a large 17.3” display, which is more appropriate for casual entertainment purposes. The display has sufficient brightness level for outdoors usages, but the glossy surface and low contrast, can make content hard to see under direct sunlight.
The laptop uses the older Intel Core i3 2370M dual core Sandy Bridge processor with 2.4GHz clock rate and integrated Intel HD Graphics 3000. Users get the Hitachi Travelstar Z5K500 500GB 5400 rpm hard drive with 83.5 Mb/s transfer rate.
There’s also the Nvidia GeForce GT 720M GPU that kicks in when users run more complex as software, such as 3D games. It supports DirectX 11 and a significant improvement over the earlier GT 620M. It allows the laptop to run games at medium quality settings with standard HD (1366 x 768) resolution. The Asus F75VC-TY088H barely warms up at all and runs reasonably quietly in idle mode. But, under the full load, some areas of the laptop could heat up to nearly 50 °C.
