Equipped with the new Intel Haswell processor, the model of MacBook Air could be the best MacBook model yet. Unfortunately for Intel, its long partnership with Apple will be interrupted somewhat by Cupertino’s upcoming mobile chip.
The Haswell may have delivered impressive battery life for Apple’s new laptop, but we could eventually see future MacBook models running the A8 architecture. The chip may not be able compete with the raw power provided by Intel’s new Core i technology, but the A8 is still appropriate for use on future low-power MacBook model.
Given time, Apple will further develop its microprocessor solution, but it is unlikely that the company can produce something powerful enough to run the MacBook. Previously, we saw the partnerships between Apple and Motorola dissolved, as the company was able to produce reliable mobile chip series.
