AMD Temash APU Appears For the First Time on a Laptop

AMD Temash APU will be coming soon and a laptop based on the hardware system has unexpectedly popped up online. The Acer Aspire V5 122P 0463 purportedly sports A6 1450 quad-core processor. AMD hasn’t officially announced the processor, but it is believed that the processor fluctuates between 1GHz and 1.4GHz based on user requirements.

The APU includes built-in Radeon HD 8280 GPU, which also fluctuates between 300MHZ and 500MHz. The laptop comes with expandable 2GB of DDR3 RAM. Overall, the V5 122P looks pretty average for a budget 11.6” laptop. The 500GB hard drive doesn’t seem to be paired by a much faster SSD companion.

Acer doesn’t mention anything related to battery life, but the laptop is reasonably priced at $450. (Approx. £289) There’s no weight and dimensions information, but it could in the same ballpark with existing models in the lineup, including the Aspire V5 121 0430.
